If you're nearby, we’ll deliver your Higbee fully assembled – free of charge! Just enter your address at checkout to see if you're in our local delivery zone.

2. Free Professional Assembly at Select Bike Shops
If you're within 50 miles of a participating bike shop, you'll see an option at checkout for free professional assembly.

3. Free Home Delivery with $50 Assembly Credit
We offer free shipping to your door anywhere in the continental U.S. While your Higbee arrives 95% assembled, we strongly recommend professional assembly to ensure everything is safe, secure, and dialed in for your first ride.

To help with that, we’ll cover $50 toward professional assembly at your local bike shop. Just send us the receipt after your purchase.

How Does a Higbee eBike Work?

If you've never ridden an electric bike, you're going to love it.

Start pedaling and the motor kicks in – that’s pedal assist. It adds power as you go, making the ride faster and easier without feeling complicated.

Ours has 5 levels of pedal assist. Want a little push across town? Level 1. Want to fly up a big hill? Bump it up to Level 5. The motor senses your pedaling and gives you a boost. It’s like having tailwind whenever you want.

There’s also a throttle if you want to cruise without pedaling at all.

Top speed is 20mph, and the first time you hit the throttle – or even just start pedaling in a higher assist mode – expect to grin.

But the best part? It still rides beautifully without any power at all. It’s fast to accelerate, nimble, and handles like a bike should.

In 1970 — at 12 years old — PJ Cunnane started sweeping floors at his local bicycle shop, and he’s been in the industry ever since. His three sons — Alex, Harry, and Pat — grew up on two wheels. 

Our favorite place to ride is “down the shore,” where PJ implemented a “no cars” rule for the duration of our stays as kids — OK, it’s actually still a rule and we’re adults now — but we came to love the freedom, the flexibility. There’s just something about riding down the shore. And we got to thinking, how do we build a bike that makes riding anywhere a little more like riding down the shore?

We’ve had the opportunity to try out a lot of bikes: beach cruisers, fixies, BMX bikes, eBikes, mountain bikes, fat tires, expensive bikes, cheap bikes, bikes that were ridden in the Tour de France, bikes that were definitely not ridden in the Tour de France. And here’s the thing we realized about bikes: They all work. 

But we don’t like to settle. We’re on a mission for something more. We’re on a mission to build a bike that channels the energy of our youth — the freedom and flexibility — into our everyday lives as adults. 

Higbee Bikes is the brand we’ve created to do just that.

Getting service is simple:

• Reach out to usor the shop that built your bike— we’ll help diagnose and send parts if needed.
• We coordinate with your local bike shop for installation or repairs

Battery coverage:

• Covered for 1 year against defects
• Typical range: ~50–60 miles per charge with normal use and care

Service & repair:

• The Martini uses available components and straightforward, toughtful design
• Any trusted bike shop can work on it — and we’ll support them when needed.
