Our bikes can go 20 mph. And yes — it’s fun and stable at that speed. But there’s something special about taking it easy, barely pedaling, and cruising at 12–14 mph.
At that speed, riding feels natural, almost automatic — fast enough that you’re making progress, but easy enough that your mind can wander:
- You can talk to the person riding next to you without raising your voice.
- You notice what’s going on around you.
- You’re part of your surroundings, not just passing through them.

It’s not the only way to ride. I’ve had great coffee-in-hand rides at 7 mph. And when I’m hungry and heading for lunch, it’s full throttle at 20 mph.
But 13 mph?
That’s when fast enough to slow down really kicks in for me. You’re not in a rush — but you’re making the most of your time. And with 5 levels of pedal assist, you’ll always find your magic speed.
See you out there,
